How many guests does Timber Door on Gheringhap accommodate?

Our luxury Geelong accommodation is perfectly equipped to accommodate up to 8-10 guests. Our smaller studio and apartment rooms are perfect for one or two guests needing a more intimate space to retreat.

Do I have access to the entire residence when I book a studio, apartment or penthouse?

If you are booking a studio or apartment stay, you will not be able to access the entire residence. Full access to the rooftop and entertaining amenities is available with the 3-level penthouse stay.

Will other guests have access to the property at the same time?

When you book the penthouse stay with Timber Door on Gheringhap, you have complete private access to the entire residence. No other guests will be accessing the pool, atrium or any area of the three-level complex. There may be other guests in the studio and apartment rooms next door. These all have their own private access and will not impede your privacy.

Are there shared communal areas?

The penthouse has multiple communal areas to share with your own guests. This is not open to others who may be staying in the studio or apartment rooms next door. Your complete privacy is our priority.

Is Wifi available?

Yes, all of our rooms offer a stable internet connection and Wifi.

Is there local transportation available?

Simply call Geelong Taxis 131008 or book online for local Geelong transportation.

Geelong also has an extensive public transport network comprised of buses and trains. The Geelong Railway Station has lines that will get you to and from the following locations:

Waurn Ponds, Marshall and South Geelong
North Geelong, North Shore, Corio and Lara
Melbourne and Werribee
The Great Ocean Road
Warrnambool, Port Fairy and Mount Gambier
Bannockburn, Meredith, Buninyong and Ballarat

*All bus and train travel across Geelong will require a MyKi card. *Geelong’s train service is operated by V/Line, with regular services between Geelong and Melbourne. There are also daily services between Geelong and Warrnambool.

The main terminal for buses is at the Geelong Railway Station and the Moorabool Street Bus Interchange, between Ryrie Street and Malop Street.

Is there parking at Timber Door on Gheringhap?

One car park space is available per room/booking. This is at the rear of the building. Enter via Myers Street.

Can we use the pool?

The pool is located on the top floor of the residence and is only available for guests who book the penthouse.

Are beach towels and linen provided?

All linen is provided. Please bring beach towels if required.

Does Timber Door on Gheringhap allow events?

Yes, unlike other Geelong luxury accommodations, our space is actually perfectly set up for corporate group bookings or intimate wellness retreats of 8-10 people maximum. With external access to the kitchen, you can organise catering and use the space respectfully as you need.

Is Timber Door on Gheringhap suitable for corporate retreats?

Yes, with designed spaces for coworking, entertaining, relaxing and presentations our venue is fully equipped for corporate functions and retreats. We offer free wifi, a projector and speaker system as well as A/V equipment.

How far are the local shops?

You can find all you need at the local shopping precinct just 950m away, approximately a 10-minute walk.

How far is Geelong Waterfront?

Head to the stunning Geelong waterfront 1.8km away, just a 22-minute walk from the residence.

Are pets allowed at Timber Door on Gheringhap?

To preserve the quality and cleanliness of our luxury space, we do not allow pets on the premises at this time. Thank you for your understanding.

Are children allowed to stay at Timber Door on Gheringhap?

At Timber Door Gheringhap every room is curated for the refined lifestyle. Our accommodation is not suitable to accommodate children. Thank you for your understanding.

Is breakfast provided?

Although we do not have cooked bed and breakfast options available at this time, we do offer beautiful bundles of local foods and artisanal treats. You can view the selection here. Alternatively, you can visit our Things To Do page for one of the Timber Door recommendations for local cafes nearby.

Can I hire the space for professional photography?
